TOUCAN LULU
is a family Vacation
Home rental company situated in the
Placencia village dedicated to providing affordable vacation accommodation in one of the most beautiful beach destinations in the world. Started by two American friends (Paul and Hogan), from the US who visited Belize in 1996 and bought the prime beach front property on the Placencia peninsula of
Belize. Of course
it was love at first visit for them
and soon Belize became the place
that they would retire someday, but
for the interim it was an ideal
private vacation spot to getaway
from the cold winters and big cities. One year later with their own sweat and energy Toucan Lulu was born with its first
rental cabana. The Lulu however remained a
small vacation rental facility for 9+ years with relative success adding two more
lodging units to the property
just on the Placencia
sidewalk,
which now allowed tourists to get an
opportunity to share their vacation
home and spot for a short while. With constant visits to Placencia every year, the owners have become well known in the
village and rightfully call it their Home Away From
Home.
Hogan and Paul decided in July of 2007
to take Toucan Lulu on step
further especially seeing the demand for quality
vacation accommodation in
Placencia, Belize. Two friends that
they introduced to Placencia
bought properties next to theirs and
so Randy and Mike decided to share
their Placencia Vacation Rental also. This
immediately allowed Toucan more
variety, a larger room and occupancy
count and the ability to offer to
potential customers an opportunity
for a large family/group
or wedding party to
rent the entire facility. Next step
was to find some one, Malcolm
(Resident Manager/Host) who could
carry there budding business further
with personalized attention,
management and marketing to
redevelop Toucan Lulu
into the perfect vacationers getaway
in a Barefoot Perfect world. Seeking
to provide adequate Belize lodging
to travelers.
